behind me, the work force of our bay area, san francisco, and oakland and others. want to thank everybody for coming here this morning. you know, we have another announcement to make, but it's consistent with the efforts that are being made by the warriors management to work with all of us in the city and to really adapt to the kinds of things that we've all shown as the values of our city. it is so important ause i remin people, this is a private investment of hundreds of millions of dollars. did i say 5 last week? eyewitness news in high definition. >>> breaking news in oakland four people have been shot all within a couple blocks of one another. cbs 5 reporter christin ayers is there. chris christin. >> that's correct we have a massive scene out here along sixth street. a long scene. you can see multiple cruisers. this area encompassing about six blocks where we're being told shootings happened and multiple people involved in the shootings. multiple victims from what we're hearing right now. four people shot. one person according to authorities is in critical condition at this moment. we don't know the conditions of the other four currently. and information just coming in at this moment. i talked to a couple neighbors in this area that heard the gunfire a short time ago before we arrived on scene. they described hearing maybe a dozen shots and coming out and seeing people laying in the street. we're hearing four victim so far in this east oakland neighborhoods. a very large presence in east oakland. no word on whether authorities have been able to track down the shooters. christin ayers cbs 5.

information oakland police about the horrible case of a missing autistic girl found beaten and sexual assaulted. abc 7 news just left the news conference. allen? >> police say the guy was a stranger who took advantage of a 16-year-old girl considered at risk and on the autistic spectrum. the 36-year-old arrested and charged with kidnapping three counts of rape and performing lewd acts on a child. last tuesday, the young girl walked away from her group home in oakland and ended up near the fruit veil bart station. she is believed to have come in contact with atkinson. she was found on a san francisco muni train alone, and scared. the police would not say how she ended up in san francisco, and where she was during the time she went missing. the police chief would only say this. >>. >> this is one of the most sickening cases i've seen in my career, someone, as mr. atkinson can take advantage of someone of this stature. >> we're told the girl is no longer staying at that group home, police say gary atkinson arrested near the same station where the girl disappeared. police say they used su

are located. piedmont, highway to the fore, most of oakland. park boulevard, experiencing a rain. you can see sunnyvale cupertino sing pretty heavy rain not as bad as san jose and santa clara. but heavier rain is headed your way in fact as we use our storm track tool to see when the heavy rain is going to impact you. looks like it will hit santa clara around 7:17 a.m.. stand at 7:29 a.m. hit san jose. that is a look for the rain is currently falling around the bay area. drive with extra caution allow yourself extra time. the average is not too bad we're talking 50 is pretty much everywhere. as we head into the afternoon showers will continue however, that will be lighter in nature and start to take off. we will see a drying trend later on tonight. it looks like better weather is on the way. i will talk about what to expect coming up in my next report george. >> erica we are tracking major delays for interstate 80 in the east bay. if the entire east shore free ride on from the car keenness straight crockett of all the way down to the bay bridge toll plaza the backup begins coming skyway at san

people. there's a lot of things. as i drove down here from oakland cut -- oakland, i saw those cars in the ordinary lanes. one person per car. you have this one person with all this steel and plastic and oil. it is ridiculous. we're figuring out ways to do that. whether it is high speed rail or electric cars. the first will be rolling off the factory in treatments in the next few months -- in three months and in the next few months. yes, the innovative companies are small. the electric cars -- the tanks are small but so is fairchild or in tal or hewlett-packard -- intel or hewlett-packard or steve jobs. the seats we plant brings the vast forests of new products and new technologies and new patents in the future. that is where we have to -- we have to keep our eye on the main thought here. that is the discipline, the imagination, and the investment. that is what makes california -- that is why people are still coming here. they're not staying in colorado, i am sorry to say. they're right here.
